We’re excited to share the latest advancements in ClearFeed’s Slack-Zendesk integration. The new enhancements are designed to help service teams deliver exceptional support with less manual effort and greater precision.

Let’s deep dive into how the new enhancements enable you to streamline your support operations across Slack and Zendesk.

1. AI-Based State Transitions for Zendesk

One of the most time-consuming aspects of managing support tickets is ensuring that ticket states are updated accurately and promptly. With our new AI-Based State Transitions, ClearFeed now intelligently analyzes the incoming messages in Slack and automatically updates the status of the corresponding Zendesk ticket. 

How It Works:

  • Real-Time Analysis: Our AI monitors Slack Messages and detects if the ticket should be moved to a different state based on the intent of the message.
  • Automated Updates: Once the AI determines the appropriate state, it automatically updates the status of the ticket in Zendesk, reducing the need for manual intervention.
  • Automated Transitions include:
    • Re-Opening tickets when customers post a new request on an existing Slack thread
    • Not re-opening tickets when customers post messages like “Thank You” that can be ignored.
    • Moving tickets to Pending state when agents (or responders) post replies to customers (unless replies contain commitments like “Let me get back on this”).
Upgrade 1: AI-Based State Transitions for Zendesk

This feature saves valuable time and also reduces the risk of human error, ensuring your ticket states are always up-to-date and accurate. Note that AI-based state transitions are disabled by default.

2. Automatic Follow-Up Tickets for Zendesk

Sometimes, customers have follow-up questions or issues after a ticket has been closed. Handling these follow-ups manually can be cumbersome, especially when the original ticket is no longer active. With our new Automatic Follow-Up Ticket Creation, ClearFeed makes it easy to manage these situations seamlessly. 

How It Works:

  • Detecting Follow-Ups: When a non-responder (e.g., a customer) sends a message in a Slack thread connected to a closed Zendesk ticket, ClearFeed filters out messages that can be Ignored (example: “ok”, “this is great”). For non-trivial messages , the platform detects this as a follow-up.
  • Creating a New Ticket: A new Zendesk ticket is automatically filed, linked to the original ticket, and all relevant data from the previous ticket is copied over.
  • Seamless Transition: The new ticket is created with the same form and context as the original, ensuring continuity. The requester is notified, and the support team can pick up where they left off without missing a beat.

This feature ensures no customer query falls through the cracks, even after a ticket has been closed, improving customer satisfaction and reducing the workload on your Support team.

3. Internal Comment Sync

Effective communication within support teams is crucial for resolving customer issues quickly. With our new Internal Comment Integration, ClearFeed now allows support agents to add internal comments to Zendesk tickets directly from Slack.

How It Works:

  • Internal Notes in Slack: Agents can now post internal comments in Slack threads, and these comments are automatically synced as internal notes in the corresponding Zendesk ticket.
  • Enhanced Collaboration: This feature enables better collaboration among team members, as they can discuss and resolve issues without leaving Slack, while still maintaining a complete audit trail in Zendesk.
  • Privacy and Security: Internal comments are clearly marked and only visible to your team, ensuring sensitive information remains private.

This enhancement streamlines internal communication, making it easier for teams to collaborate and resolve issues efficiently.
